| Mugging and Lebanon: An Analogy |
| Imagine that a man lives in a bad neighborhood but is weak. Well he's walking down the street and suddenly he's mugged by an attacker he can't control or fight off. Then her attacker mugs another man just minues later. The second man then attacks the first one and beats the stuffing out of him and continues to do so. He says it's because the first man was weak and coudn't fight off his attacker that the second one was mugged. Well a cop comes along ans seeks the second man brutally attacking the first one and asks why. The second man says that because of the first woman's weakness and the fact that she couldn't fight off the mugger, he got mugged. The cop tells the first man "You deserve it and I'm not going to stop the second man from beating the crap out of you." Come to find out the cop and the second man are very close friends. So naturally the cop dosen't care if the second man beats the snot out of the first one as long as the second man dosen't kill the first one. After that he hands the second man his nightstick to beat the first man even worse. Well some of the first man's friends show up and start to protest this viscious attack, but the cop tells them all to be quiet and mind their own business. Well now the first man screams out, " I'll allow a cop to escort me around everywhere I go so I won't be so weak any more." The cop says that's not enough and that the second man should have more time to continue beating the crap out of the first one. Now the news shows up and focuses their cameras on the bruises that the man got from the mugger but refuses to show the bloody pulp that is the first man. So now everyone in town thinks that the second man is the victim in this mess and comes down to cheer him on as he continues to relentlessly pummel the first man. Heck they say it's not about the first man, it's about the mugger. The second man even gets a few hits on the mugger who's standing by watching the whole thing maybe even throwning a punch or two at the second man. Anybody concerned about the safety of the first man is naturally a dupe for the mugger. This should put the whole situation in Lebanon in perpective. |

He actually believes that God blessed this war! Any American who dares to speak out against our leadership or the war is an unpatriotic, treasonous, slimy sack of dog turds. Charlie is just another right of Atilla cliche. I'd announce a boycott but that would bring out all of the ususal drooling, knucle dragging, bible thumpers out to defend him. Instead I propose just the opposite, buy Dixie Chicks albums, buy your gas at Citgo (if their in your area) and buy from any business that dosen't have a Christian Fish logo on it;s ads. To my brothers and sisters in Connecticut VOTE LAMONT!!!
As always the Episcopal Church can count on good ol' Rowan Williams to stand up for what's right. Sure. Williams, also called the ABC (Archbishop of Canterbury but really means Another Bigoted Christian), has decided to go back to the dark ages, ignore Jesus and throw another punch in the face of gays and lesbians. He prostrated to a group of sanctimonous, pompous, arrogant and ignorant Anglicans and I don't mean the Royal Family. To satisfy the Anglicans in South East Asia, South America and Africa he He said that you MUST toe the line on homosexuality or get put out to the curb. Now I expect this kind of blind loyalty in dogs, Baptists and Republicans, but out of Anglicans?
Hey if you wanna hate then become a Southern Baptist, after all they are the epitome of Christ's love. If you want to follow Christ's teachings then go to the Episcopal Church or the United Church of Christ or the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). They practice such ungodly things as feeding the hungry (without making starving people sit through a sermon to get their meal), clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned and show compassion toward their fellow man (no exceptions). I challenge anybody to show me in the Bible where Jesus says, " Love your neighbor as yourself, except for homosexuals, liberals, the poor and anyone that dosen't belong to your church". Isn't going to happen anytime soon. Yes I know what Leviticus says. Well here is what the bible also says:
Leviticus 19:19 - 19 "You must obey all my decrees.
"Do not mate two different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two different kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven from two different kinds of thread. (NLT)
Better throw out those clothes with the cotton/polyester blend and farmers, God better not catch you planting the soybeans alongside the corn. Christians: 1 - Hypocrites: 0
Leviticus 20:9 Anyone who dishonors father and mother must be put to death. Such a person is guilty of a capital offense. (NLT) Gotta keep those rugrats in line.

(NLT) Anyone condeming homosexuality should focus on their own damn family first. Did you marry a divorced woman? If so you are an A..D..U..L..T..E..R..E..R. Christians: 3 - Hypocrites: 0
For the women out there:
1 Corinthians 11:5-6 - 5 But a woman dishonors her head if she prays or prophesies without a covering on her head, for this is the same as shaving her head.6 Yes, if she refuses to wear a head covering, she should cut off all her hair! But since it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or her head shaved, she should wear a covering.(NLT)
I don't remember seeing many women with covered heads in evangelical churches.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 - 34 Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just as the law says. 35 If they have any questions, they should ask their husbands at home, for it is improper for women to speak in church meetings. (NLT) Is that a woman giving a testimony I see? Leading a Sunday School class? (gasps!) AND giving a devotional!?!?!? Surely not!

If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses.4 For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace. (NLT) Just like his daddy and granddaddy before him. Sorry no pork chops, cheeseburgers or shrimp for you.

WHAT I AM....is someone who also believes in the sanctity of life, I oppose abortion and the death penalty. I challenge anyone who also claims to believe in the sanctity of life to oppose it too. I believe in the sanctity of life so much that I think bombing and shooting innocent civilians to get to a few terrorists is wrong. I believe in the sanctity of life so much that I do not think it includes shooting unarmed Palestinian children.
WHAT I AM....is a devout Episcopalian, I know I dropped out of RCIA and chose to stay with my denomination. I believe that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said love your neighbor as yourself and Judge not or you will be judged. We consecrated a Gay Bishop and ordain women, get over it.
WHAT I AM....is someone who believes in the sanctity of marriage. I wish that loud mouthed hothead going on his third or fourth marriage felt the same.

It has been a while hasn't it? No big reason just pure laziness. I was watching "Jack Van Impe Presents" this morning before Mass and he brought up a prophecy that I had to look into. Note: I watch him purely for the entertainment value, he's great when you're stoned because then he actually makes sense. According to him a 12th Century Irish priest named Malachy made a prophecy concerning the Popes. He said there would be 112 popes after the one that was in power then. After that is the end times. Guess what? Pope Benedict XVI is number 111! According to Mr. Van Impe's interpretation of that prophecy, the 112th pope, one "Peter of Rome" will defect from the church and become the Anti-Christ. This begins the Apocalypse, the Final Judgement, the rapture, blah, blah, blah. On the side of Malachy, the Mayan "Long Calendar"ends around the same time as his prophecy does (2012). I personally find Nostradamus easier to believe, at least some of his prophecies have come true. Oh well.
